Cheryl Kanters
Amaranth, Ontario
Cheryl Kanters is a passionate educator who has been working with teens in the secondary school system for over two decades. Her experience with teaching Careers, English and helping students research post-secondary pathways and scholarship opportunities enables her to guide students during their educational journeys. Additionally, during Cheryl's experience as an educator she has been a resource to many students within the community who have successfully applied and been the recipients of various academic scholarships and opportunities.
Cheryl is committed to learning and staying current with up-to-date educational opportunities to help coach students in their journeys. She is an Ontario Certified Teacher, a member of the Ontario School Counsellors Association, and possesses an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Waterloo, A Bachelor of Education from Brock University, and several Additional Qualification courses from Queen’s University.

Sue Trowell (and Shelby)
Orangeville, Ontario
Susan (Sue) Trowell is a retired high school teacher and Guidance Counsellor of 29 years; she was the Head of Guidance for the final 10 years of her career. She has extensive knowledge of high school course planning; post secondary pathway planning; post secondary application processes; scholarships, etc. She is a member of good standing of the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT), the Ontario School Counsellors Association (OSCA), and has her “Specialist” designations in Guidance and Career Education, and Visual Art as well as her Part 1 in Special Education. She earned her Social Service Worker diploma at Sheridan College, Honours BAA at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson) , BEd at Queen’s, and has taken various courses at U of T, York, and U of Waterloo.

Sue's teaching subjects were English, Visual Art and Guidance courses including Leadership, Careers, Learning Strategies, Designing Your Future, Discovering the Workplace, and Life Skills in the Special Education class. She had a variety of other roles including Student Success coordinator and teacher, SHSM (Specialist High Skills Major) school lead, Dual Credit school coordinator, summer school online teacher and summer school credit recovery teacher to name a few.
